3 Simple Touches To Jazz Up Your Wardrobe

By  |  0 Comments

It’s a great boost to start the year with an up-to-date wardrobe and flaunt new looks. Here, I’ve curated a few of the notably popular trends that have been spotted this Fall/Winter season. Don’t be afraid to test and incorporate new things into your wardrobe, so you can start the year feeling confident and end the winter season with style.

1. Turtleneck Sweaters

Turtleneck sweaters and tops have been making a strong comeback. They are a versatile basic and valuable piece to have in the closet. You can layer with sweaters and crewnecks, keep it minimal on its own, or wear with a bold skirt or pant. Picking neutral colors/shades will make your top more versatile and easier to create new looks, but don’t be afraid to play around with eye-popping colours and patterns to spice up your ensemble. No matter how you decide to utilize your turtleneck, it’s sure to add a mature touch to your look.

To get the most out of your turtleneck, pair with your best trousers, dark colored suit pants, or high waisted bottoms. If you’re heading out, try a long fashionable coat over top or if you’re keeping it casual try a comfy cardigan and thin belt.

2. Long Coats

A long coat in itself can be an outfit with the right accessories. The dramatic outerwear looks great worn casually with jeans and a tee, played down with basics and minimal accessory or dressed up, paired with playful tops or sophisticated bottoms or dress. To wear a long coat on its own, pair with a fashionable belt or your best shoes. When looking for a coat: keep your eye out for the ‘peacoat, wool, and trench’ styles, and lengths just above/just below the knee. If you want your coat to be the focal point, stick to a dark basic outfit and maybe a wide fashion belt. For a more sophisticated day look, pair your coat with a suit pant or pencil skirt and blouse. Be playful and test out different outfits to find a style that best suits you.

3. Peter Pan Collars

Peter pan collars are quite cute and add a touch of innocence to any look. Whether you are wearing a detachable collar necklace or a blouse with a styled collar, they pair well with a high-waisted skirt or pant. A small belted cardigan also works well with this trend. Also, look for dresses with this style collar, you’ll be sure to fall in love. To accessorize this beautiful trend, keep it simple with vintage earrings or charm bracelet.
